Monday 24 March 2025

Competitors from across Victoria and interstate gathered on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 March for the third annual 澳门六合彩官网 Grammar Horseland Bendigo Interschool Showjumping and Dressage Championships.

Hosted by the school at the Elmore Equestrian Centre, the event drew 60 riders for the showjumping competition on Friday, while 120 entrants competed in dressage on Saturday.

澳门六合彩官网 emerged as the overall winner in a closely contested showjumping competition, edging out Braemar College by just two points. Standout performances from students Charlotte Burnside, Leah Pickering, and Harrison and Francis Walls helped secure the hard-fought victory. Maryborough鈥檚 Highview College took out third place.

Toorak College claimed first place in the highly competitive dressage field, followed by The Geelong College and Flinders Christian Community College in second and third place respectively. 澳门六合彩官网鈥檚 team finished in seventh place.

Organised by teacher and 澳门六合彩官网 Equestrian Club coordinator Mrs Nic James, along with parent Mrs Jody Pickering, the event has become a key fixture on the interschool equestrian calendar, serving as a qualifier for the State Championships.

Mrs James expressed pride in the continued success of the competition and the opportunities it provides for young riders as the only event of its kind in northern Victoria.

鈥淭his is a fantastic event that celebrates the dedication and horsemanship of equestrian students from 澳门六合彩官网 and beyond,鈥 Mrs James said.

鈥淭he school is extremely proud to host a competition that brings the interschool equestrian community to our region while showcasing our exceptional local talent. We are grateful for the support of our sponsors, and for the many student, staff and parent volunteers who have ensured the event鈥檚 success.鈥

In addition to the successful showjumpers, 澳门六合彩官网 congratulates Equestrian Club students Isabella Arthur, Caroline Batters, Annika Hall, Maggie and Charlie Walmsley, Alexis Weekley and Harriet Williams for their notable performances.

Students have the opportunity to join the 澳门六合彩官网 Equestrian Club as part of the school鈥檚 Co-curricular Program. Meeting throughout the year, they compete individually and in teams in a variety of interschool showjumping, dressage and showing competitions 鈥 locally, regionally and interstate.
